Fujifilm is taking its community workshop event on the road. On November 6, 2026, FUJIFILM North America Corporation announced Create With Us: On Tour, a free series of workshops, hands-on camera demos, guided photowalks, and networking meetups that will visit cities across the United States from late 2026 into 2027. The first stop is close enough to matter if you shoot in Texas: Dallas on December 5, 2026.

At Grey Bug Photography we photograph San Antonio events and headshots on the Nikon Z9 and Z8, and we have used both bodies since each launched. You do not need to switch systems to get something useful from a day like this. Fujifilm says you can bring whatever camera you already own, or try its cameras and lenses at the demo stations. For working photographers, that is a low-risk way to practice city shooting, lighting, and meeting other creatives before the holiday rush.

What Fujifilm announced

Create With Us started as a single-city gathering. Fujifilm’s November 6 press release says the first event was in Seattle in 2023 at Fremont Studios, where 540 creators came through the doors. Austin hosted it in 2024, and Minneapolis followed in 2025. The new tour is the first time Fujifilm is taking that format to multiple U.S. cities in one run, working with local camera dealers and lead partner Godox.

According to Fujifilm, each stop will be shaped by the local creative community. Planned pieces include:

  • Hands-on demo stations where you can try Fujifilm cameras and lenses.
  • Guided photowalks, including lighting-focused walks with Godox gear.
  • Workshops and sponsor demos led by working industry professionals.
  • A networking meetup to close out the day.

Godox is the tour’s primary partner. Lighting educator Brent Eysler, whose background includes portraiture, photojournalism, and cinematography, will lead dedicated classes. Fujifilm also points to live equipment demonstrations so visitors can see Godox lights used in a practical setting, not just on a table.

Dallas is first: December 5 at Deep Ellum Art Co.

The tour opens on December 5, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Deep Ellum Art Co. in Dallas, Texas, with dealer partner Competitive Cameras. Dallas is on Central time, same as San Antonio, so the clock on the listing is the clock you already use.

The official tour page lists the next announced stop as Miami on January 16, 2027, with dealer partner AVC Photo Video Store. The Miami venue and start time were still to be confirmed when Fujifilm published the page. More cities are expected later.

Admission is free, and Fujifilm says the events are open to photographers and filmmakers at every level. Walk-ins are welcome, but the company recommends signing up in advance through the local dealer so you can hold a seat for popular sessions and, if you want loaner gear, get in line for it. You can leave and come back; the FAQ says wristbands are provided for re-entry. Details and dealer links live on Fujifilm’s Create With Us: On Tour page.

Why a Dallas photowalk day helps event and headshot work

A guided city walk is not the same as a paid gala or a headshot lineup, but the skills overlap more than they first appear:

  • Mixed light, fast decisions. Deep Ellum after noon, like the River Walk after dark, mixes shade, neon, reflections, and changing sky. That is useful practice for reading a room before the keynote starts or the house lights drop.
  • Lighting you can take home. Godox classes and live demos are aimed at portrait and location work. If you run a headshot station or light a speaker, watching someone walk through modifiers in person is often clearer than another product video.
  • Try before you add a body. Hands-on time with Fujifilm X Series or GFX cameras is a chance to see color, autofocus, and handling without committing a kit. Our paid event and headshot work stays on the Z9 and Z8 because that is the system we have tested in real rooms. Curiosity is still worth a Saturday.
  • Same time zone, and close enough to consider. Dallas is on Central time, like San Antonio, so the 11:00 a.m. start matches the clock you already use. If the drive works for your Saturday, it is a full workshop day; if a later tour city lands closer, Fujifilm says more dates are coming.

If you are hiring a photographer rather than attending yourself, the takeaway is simpler: the people you book should keep practicing. Photowalks, lighting classes, and time spent with other working shooters show up later as cleaner venue frames, more confident portraits, and fewer surprises when the schedule gets tight.

If something you try belongs in the bag

After you handle cameras or lights at the event, shop current stock rather than guessing from a show table. You can browse Fujifilm cameras and lenses at Adorama and shop Godox lighting at Adorama if a body, lens, or light you demo makes your short list. Confirm the exact model and what is in the box before you buy.

Bottom line

Fujifilm’s Create With Us format is moving from one host city a year to a nationwide tour. The first date on the calendar is December 5, 2026, in Dallas at Deep Ellum Art Co., with Competitive Cameras and Godox as partners. It is free, any camera brand is welcome, and the mix of demos, photowalks, and lighting classes is aimed at both new shooters and working professionals. For San Antonio event and headshot photographers, it is a practical December Saturday if the Dallas drive works for you and you want to sharpen city-shooting and lighting skills before the next busy season.
